Lesson 10 Challenge
On the Go, On Your Blog…
I'm used to the City's website so can find my way around it but for someone new, I imagine it's difficult. Especially for job-hunters. And there's no way that it meets the recommendations for the visually impaired.
I use the Bexar County Appraisal District's website pretty often. And I used it a lot when I was house-hunting. For property searches, it's easy to use and the information contained on the page is very thorough.

Lesson 9 Part 1 Hoopla

I don't know how digital resources are changing libraries except that because people are using them more, their expectations are that we have them. I know that in the last 5 years, I've seen eBook use really take off, both in the library and "on the outside." As far as other resources such as Zinnio and Hoopla, I don't know of many people who use these. I have an account with both but don't use them. Probably because I'm in front of computers all day and I try and detox at home. I really should make a point of looking at my Zinnio magazines though because they are awesome on a large computer screen!

Divergent by Veronica Roth is available in both eBook and audiobook format. The library owns 96 copies of the eBook of which 53 are currently available. We own 15 copies of the audiobook, none of which are available. There are 20 patrons on the holds list.
Grain Brain by David Perlmutter is available in eBook format. SAPL owns 14 and there are 12 currently available.

Hoopla - Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
OverDrive - Coraline by Neil Gaiman
I found OneClickDigital the easiest to use. Hoopla is a tad clunky. OverDrive was fine.
