Lesson 6 Parts 1&2 Challenge
Ohhh, social media. On a personal level, I don't participate much. I have an Instagram account that I love but that's about it. Oh, I also have a Goodreads account but I don't network much there. I use it mostly to keep track of what I've read and want to read. Facebook has way too much drama potential for me, tweeting just doesn't appeal, I'm too old for Snapchat and I don't know anyone on Vine. I not professional enough for LinkedIn and for some reason, Pinterest just doesn't do it for me either.
On a business level, social media's potential is amazing! Any company or business that does not take advantage of its reach is crippling itself. This is why I'm so dismayed by the City's decision to block employees from social networking sites. I understand that employees might be taking advantage of it, but I feel those infractions could be handled in a different way. I also understand that appeals can be made to allow an employee access to social media sites, but that is not the point. A major city that, as policy, blocks employee access to social media sites is really limiting itself.
